About the Role
Sales Director (ANZ) required for an important position within a well-funded, high-growth AI Climate Tech SaaS company. The role entails developing and closing big-ticket 7-figure SaaS deals with Utilities.
Can be based anywhere in Australia, ideally Melbourne or Sydney.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proven track record in Utility enterprise software sales, dealing with complex value propositions and long sales cycles (9 - 12+ months). It is essential to have experience selling to senior-level executives while navigating complicated global organizations. This role requires a "hunter" mindset, as it is a full-stack account executive position demanding strategic thinking and a consultative approach to business development.
Our client boasts over 125 global utility customers, and notably, they are engaged in active conversations (and paid pilots) with three of the top four utilities in NZ and three of the top five in Australia.
Being the first person on the ground in ANZ, we seek an entrepreneurial, hands-on sales professional. Someone who is excited to be the first person in the region and comfortable with both the risk and opportunity to make a large impact that entails. Initially, support from the lead generation, sales engineering, and customer success teams would come from teams based in the US, UK and India.
Once the ANZ business has reached sufficient scale, the plan is to establish a business around this successful hire over the coming months and years, offering significant opportunities to be part of something very special.
